my story
Howdy! I’m Valor Luke, founder of Logomancer LLC.
I wrote my first “novel” when I was six years old (a sci fi thriller highly influenced by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, hand-illustrated with developmentally appropriate drawings). I’ve been telling stories and developing my writing craft ever since.
I’m passionate about telling stories and connecting with others to cultivate and celebrate our innate creativity.
I have a BA in English Linguistics and an MA in Counseling Psychology. I completed a yearlong course in Speculative Fiction under the instruction of Nisi Shawl, whom I consider to be a formative influence in my writing journey.
I have also completed courses in Developmental Editing through EFA, and am constantly learning more about dev ed and the craft of writing through self-study, critique groups, and my editing clients.
